Card Services Representative

  • SUMMARY Handles member inquiries regarding the credit union's card services program. Assists with the administration of this program by performing the following duties:

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Have a good working knowledge of Reg E, GG, and C

    • Opens and monitors daily new credit card report including;

      • Balance transfers

      • Authorized Users

      • Debt Cancelation Insurance

      • Rushed Cards

    • Answer phone calls regarding Visa Debit and/or credit Cards.

    • Identify fraudulent transaction

    • Complete dispute documents

    • Send compliance letters affiliated with disputes and Reg. E

    • Credit accounts for fraudulent transactions

    • Processes Visa/ATM/POS disputes.

    • Report fraudulent transaction to Visa and Star

    • File completed dispute cases

    • Monitor Card Services Reports:

      • Debit Card Limit Increases Report

      • Issuance of a credit card after an address change (Red Flag Act)

    • Takes Lost/stolen report from associates and/or members.

    • Assists with ATM/POS adjustments as needed.

    • Present an overview of Card Service at bi-weekly New Hire Orientation

    • Monitors card services e-mail box.

    • Order all new Business Credit Cards

    • Researches addresses on credit card statements and re-mails.

    • Assist Member Care Center and Branch Associates concerning any card questions

    • Assist with plastic inventory required for instant issue

    • Participate in Core training and testing

    • Develop an understanding of Credit Union philosophy, organization, bylaws, and operational procedures and comply with the requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act, AML, OFAC and all other applicable State and Federal Financial Institution Regulations.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience including prior Call Center experience. 10-key experience preferred.
