Consumer Loan Servicing Specialist I,II, or III DOE

Summary: Perform file review on all consumer loans, maintain file room/loan documents, provide support to consumer lending functions through various processes. Processing letters of guarantee and collateral protection insurance, claim filing for debt cancellation products, GAP, VSA, consumer loan title work processing and tracking.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

  • Assist with vault management
    • Filing loan files and other loan documents
    • Pull files for other departments - track files out
  • Perform file review - audit new consumer loans
  • Centralized title processing and tracking
    • Title release requests
  • Complete and send consumer loan payoff letters
  • Process collateral protection insurance (CPI) premium billings and refunds
  • Insurance Letters of Guarantee
  • File GAP Claims, VSA Claims/Cancellations, Debt Cancellation Claims-Life, Disability, Unemployment
  • File Maintenance
    • Loan Term Changes
    • Subsequent Actions
  • Process and Maintain Reports
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), some college preferred; three to five years related loan servicing experience with loan insurance product claims, consumer loan title processing and consumer lending preferred.
