Program Manager - North Phoenix, AZ


Under direction of the VP Data Analytics, the Program Manager leads specific member and market development strategies to grow OneAZ’s market and product penetration.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Works with Executive team and other key internal and external partners to develop and execute on programs designed to increase market penetration, member/product engagement and other key initiatives

  • Develops program value propositions with proforma and breakeven analyses

  • Manages program budgets and key metrics

  • Develops program reports with BI/Analytics team to measure program performance

  • Leads a cross-functional program team

  • Manages program specific pricing and promotions in collaboration with product, finance and marketing teams and manages any needed approvals among related committees

  • Collaborates with Marketing team to develop program specific campaigns, messaging and communication strategies

  • Manages new ‘product’ launches for programs

  • Establishes connections and understands interdependency between program, product and marketing teams to drive common goals

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university required, preferably with a major that requires development of critical thinking skills. Master’s Degree in Business Administration or similar work experience is preferred. Five years plus experience in a consulting or management role within the financial services industry is required. Demonstrated success in several firm functions including marketing, market research, product development etc. is preferred.

Strategic/ Analytical/ Problem Solving Skills: Ability to understand and solve complex business problems using analytical thinking and data driven strategies. Ability to translate strategy into action with solid planning.

Marketing Skills: Knowledge and ability to apply sophisticated marketing concepts including brand positioning, competitive assessment, market research, value proposition development and promotion.

Product Sills: Demonstrated understanding of Financial Services products and services

Financial Skills: Ability to interpret financial components of program/ product including profit and loss statements, budget process and ROI calculations, implications of financial analyses.

Communications and Networking Skills: Ability to form long-term relationships with co-workers, suppliers and customers, ability to clearly communicate, skill and willingness to involve others in the decision-making process, ability to negotiate and influence others.

Creative Skills and Intellectual Curiosity: Awareness of market trends, ability to apply new concepts to an existing model, ability to understand product buyers and craft creative program components into a compelling product/program offering.

Technology Skills: Ability to understand the technology components of products and services and understands how to use technology to create value.

Leadership Skills: Ability to gain support and respect of cross-functional teams. Ability to generate enthusiasm and energy to motivate others towards a common goal. Ability to understand when to use different decision-making styles (i.e. consensus making vs. command and control) to arrive at the best outcome.
