Project Manager II - North Phoenix, AZ

SUMMARY Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of enterprise projects to ensure that project goals are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Consults with management and reviews project proposals to determine goals, time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, and allotment of resources.
  • Perform the full range of activities in the project management lifecycle: initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, communication, controlling, and closing.
  • Direct development of an action plan and estimate requirements for resources and time required to complete project.
  • Develop and help execute comprehensive change management strategy and communication plan relative to project scope and stakeholders; orchestrate and lead change management methodologies underlying project success.
  • Formulates and defines technical scope and objectives of project.
  • Identifies and schedules project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks.
  • Coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget.
  • Follows and helps to maintain standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation.
  • Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules and plans as required.
  • Prepares project status reports and keeps management and others informed of project status and related issues.
  • Confers with project team to resolve problems.
  • Coordinates and responds to requests for changes from original specifications.
  • Develops exit criteria to ensure project meets all requirements.
  • Develops and maintains project documentation.
  • Facilitates the business in development of quality assurance test plans and quality assurance testing.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree in related field and a minimum of 5 years project management experience in a banking environment. Interest in pursuing Project Management Institute-Project Management Professional (PMI-PMP) certification.
