Sr. Marketing Specialist II - North, Phoenix, AZ

SUMMARY: The Senior Marketing Specialist II will be responsible for digital and traditional marketing initiatives including digital and traditional marketing campaign management, day to day project management of marketing initiatives and managing marketing plans, prospect and member list management and execution.

In this role, the Senior Marketing Specialist II will be responsible for executing marketing programs across all channels in partnership with business partners and internal cross-functional teams acting as the primary project manager for key projects and programs.

This individual will demonstrate an understanding of marketing project execution and will manage a variety of projects under the direction of the Senior Marketing Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Creates effective strategies and concepts for internal and external business partners on assigned projects working closely with the Senior Marketing Manager.
  • Creates project plans, manages tasks and executes plan while working closely with internal and external business partners, reporting results and progress to the Senior Marketing Manager.
  • Lead and develop marketing automation campaigns with a focus on strategic and financial growth with internal business partners and key departments.
  • Work with internal marketing team and external marketing partners to develop messaging, creative assets both traditional and digital and other marketing assets for a variety of marketing campaigns.
  • Implement and successfully execute marketing programs across all channels.
  • Execute marketing campaigns accurately, on time, with proper approvals and within budget.
  • Assist in the development and management of an annual marketing budget. Manages project and program costs within established budget to ensure effective, efficient, on-plan marketing spend.
  • Build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to drive and implement marketing tactics.
  • Manage a variety of projects and tasks as assigned. Exhibit resourcefulness, creativity and forward-thinking mindset.

  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of all types Credit Union accounts, rates and services offered.

  • Develop, manage and maintain assigned marketing campaigns and communication including advertising, direct mail materials, newsletters, web content, plasma screens, online communications, on-hold messages, articles, collateral, training materials, annual reports, on-hold messages and other related informative and promotional materials that meet program objectives.

  • Develop an understanding of Credit Union philosophy, organization, bylaws, and operational procedures and comply with the requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act, AML, OFAC and all other applicable State and Federal Financial Institution Regulations.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 3-5 years of digital and traditional marketing experience or the equivalent in job-relevant work experience

  • Solid marketing and background, with hands-on experience in project management

  • Experience with the following platforms: Microsoft Dynamics, Google Analytics, Teamwork (or similar Project Management tools), Microsoft Office

  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills

  • Excellent client-facing, internal communication, written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of supervisors, associates, and members
